Adding Time in Toki

At @Assist, we know time is important to keeping a steady workflow. Adding time is easier than ever for open tasks.
There are a few different ways to add time in Toki.

Option A:


From your home screen click the “View Tasks” icon bar in the middle-right side of the page. 

This will take you to your “Project Tasks” list. You’ll only see open tasks here.

You’ll see three colored icons at the end of each item on the list. Hover over the blue pencil icon with a square around it.

The prompt “View/Edit Task” will appear.

Click the blue pencil icon for the task you would like to add time to.


Click the red “Log Time / Close Task” button.

Next, click to put the cursor in the “Date in” box. Enter the time in the three boxes that appear and select the date of start for the task from the calendar that appears.

Click the green “Apply” button.

Repeat the same steps for the “Date out” box. Remember to click the green “Apply” button!

Optionally, you can also choose whether or not to close the task in the top box on your screen. If you close a task, it will not appear in your open “Project Tasks” list.

Then click the green “Yes” button.

You will now see the time you’ve just logged in the “Hours Logged” line of your task dashboard.

Option B:

From your home screen click the blue “View Projects” icon bar in the middle-right side of the page. 

This will take you to your “Open Projects” list. You’ll only see open projects here.

Hover over the project title that you want and click to “View Project.”

Under the “Tasks” section, you’ll now see a list of tasks for the project you selected.

You’ll see two colored icons at the end of each task.

Click the blue pencil icon for the task you would like to add time to.


Click the red “Log Time / Close Task” button.

Next, click to put the cursor in the “Date in” box. Enter the time in the three boxes that appear and select the date of start for the task from the calendar that appears.

Click the green “Apply” button.

Repeat the same steps for the “Date out” box. Remember to click the green “Apply” button!

Optionally, you can also choose whether or not to close the task in the top box on your screen. If you close a task, it will not appear in your open “Project Tasks” list.

Then click the green “Yes” button.

You will now see the time you’ve just logged in the “Hours Logged” line of your task dashboard.

Option C:

From your Toki home screen, hover over the three-lined icon at the top of your screen that represents tasks.


Click this icon.

A short list of your open tasks will appear.

Select the task you’d like to add time to.

Your screen will take you to the task you selected.  

Click the red “Log Time / Close Task” button.

Next, click to put the cursor in the “Date in” box. Enter the time in the three boxes that appear and select the date of start for the task from the calendar that appears.

Click the green “Apply” button.

Repeat the same steps for the “Date out” box. Remember to click the green “Apply” button!

Optionally, you can also choose whether or not to close the task in the top box on your screen. If you close a task, it will not appear in your open “Project Tasks” list.

Then click the green “Yes” button.

You will now see the time you’ve just logged in the “Hours Logged” line of your task dashboard.

Option D:

From your Toki home screen, hover over the “Projects” link in the top right of your screen.

Select “Open Projects”

This will take you to your “Open Projects” list. You’ll only see open projects here.

Hover over the project title that you want and click to “View Project.”

Under the “Tasks” section, you’ll now see a list of tasks for the project you selected.

You’ll see two colored icons at the end of each task.

Click the blue pencil icon for the task you would like to add time to.
Click the red “Log Time / Close Task” button.

Next, click to put the cursor in the “Date in” box. Enter the time in the three boxes that appear and select the date of start for the task from the calendar that appears.

Click the green “Apply” button.

Repeat the same steps for the “Date out” box. Remember to click the green “Apply” button!
